Federal consultation on tax proposal 17
The GEM is in favour of the measures included in the tax proposal 17, such as recommended by the Federal Department of Finance. These measures aim at keeping a competitive and sustainable fiscality, while adopting rules compliant with international standards, in order to garantee a better predictability for the Swiss economy.

The GEM insists on the fact that competitive tax rates on earnings and capital are key to garantee legal certainty. Cancellation of tax statuses and earning and capital tax rate reduction must stay at the center of the tax proposal 17.
Other internationaly accepted tax measures, such as those favourable to innovation, are particularly interesting for multinational companies et will be essential to garantee long-term Swiss competitivity.
